Counselling for Women's Aging
As women grow older, life brings new experiences, transitions, and opportunities for self-discovery. From shifting identities and changing relationships to evolving roles, health, and purpose, each stage of life offers both challenges and moments of deep growth.

Counselling for women provides a safe, inclusive, and compassionate space to explore these experiences, strengthen resilience, and nurture emotional wellbeing.
a space for connection and understanding
Every woman’s story is unique. Whether you are navigating menopause, midlife transitions, relationship changes, loss, or questions of identity and meaning, counselling offers a place to pause and reconnect with yourself. Together, we can explore what matters most to you and support you in living with greater ease and self-acceptance.

My approach is inclusive and person-centred, meaning you are always at the heart of the process. Your individuality, values, and lived experience are honoured and respected.

compassionate, trauma-informed therapy
Many women carry the effects of past trauma, discrimination, or societal pressures that continue to influence how they see themselves. Trauma-informed counselling provides a gentle, compassionate space for healing and growth at your own pace.

I integrate Trauma-Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — an evidence-based approach that blends mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based action. Together, we work to build awareness, self-compassion, and emotional flexibility so that you can move toward a more meaningful, connected life.
support for emotional and life transitions
Common areas of focus in counselling for women include:
-
Navigating identity, purpose, and self-worth through midlife and beyond
-
Adjusting to health changes, or age-related health challenges
-
Managing stress, anxiety, or low mood
-
Healing from grief, loss, or trauma
-
Building resilience and self-compassion
-
Strengthening relationships and healthy boundaries
-
Cultivating creativity, joy, and meaning in everyday life
Counselling can help you reconnect with your inner wisdom, restore balance, and find renewed purpose as you continue to grow and evolve.
counselling & therapeutic support in your home care package
Counselling is recognised as an allied health service and a form of therapeutic support. This means it can be funded through your Home Care Package to meet your assessed care needs.
Home Care Package counselling can include psychological counselling, stress management support, or other therapeutic activities that promote your emotional wellbeing.

Your Home Care Package funds can be used for a range of allied health and therapeutic services to support your emotional and mental wellbeing, including counselling to:
-
Maintain mental health and overall quality of life
-
Manage stress, anxiety, grief, or trauma
-
Promote relaxation, self-awareness, and resilience
-
Provide space for emotional expression and connection
-
Reduce isolation and enhance emotional wellbeing
-
Support cognitive and emotional health, especially when traditional talk-based therapies may not fully meet your needs

How It Works
Your Home Care Package provider will assess your needs and determine if counselling services can be included in your care plan. Once your needs are approved, your provider can arrange and fund counselling as part of your Home Care Package.

You are then welcome to book an initial call with me to discuss your care needs, explore what feels right for you, and begin your counselling journey.
compassionate, trauma-informed therapy
Counselling offers a deeply restorative opportunity to be heard, supported, and understood. Through inclusive, compassionate, and trauma-informed care, you can rediscover your sense of strength, connection, and possibility — at any stage of life.
